This case involves the conviction of the plaintiff in error, Walter Allison, Jr. (hereinafter defendant), of rape and sexual perversion contrary to secs. 944.01 (1) and 944.17 (1), Stats. The judgment of conviction followed a jury trial in the circuit court for Milwaukee county, branch 2. The defendant was sentenced on March 24, 1972, to an indeterminate term of not more than eight years on the rape conviction and an indeterminate term of not more than three years on the conviction for sexual perversion, both terms to be concurrent.
